Set against a classical backdrop charting the rise of Rome as the world's first superpower, Rome II allows you to play as many different factions of the time, across a vast theatre stretching from the western tip of Portugal to the jewelled cities of the Middle-East. Spartan Edition contains all free feature updates since its release in 2013, which includes bug fixes, balancing, touchscreen support, and Mac compatibility. In addition, The Imperator Augustus Campaign Pack, Wrath of Sparta Campaign Pack, Greek States Culture Pack and Daughters of Mars Unit Packs are all included. Imperator Augustus Campaign Pack. Set in 42 BC during the chaotic aftermath of Caesar's grisly murder, The Imperator Augustus Campaign Pack provides a new playable campaign for ROME II, rivalling the original ROME II Grand Campaign in both scope and scale. The republic remains whole, but its soul is divided as three great men, the members of the Second Triumvirate, hold the future of Rome in the palms of their hands. Play as: Octavian, Caesar's adoptive son and the heir to his legacy Marc Antony, Caesar's loyal friend and most trusted lieutenant Lepidus, Pontifex Maximus of Rome and the man who secured Caesar's dictatorship With the territories of The Republic divided between them and the military might of Rome at their beck-and-call, the members of The Second Triumvirate are each in a position to make a bid for leadership, and rule Rome as its first – and only – emperor. External forces are on the move however, looking to exploit the instability of Rome and expand their own territories. Will you fight as a defender of Rome and defeat the other members of the Triumvirate or will you take advantage of the chaos and lead another faction on a campaign of conquest and expansion? Wrath of Sparta Campaign Pack. Wrath of Sparta introduces an epic campaign expansion for Total War: ROME II focusing exclusively on the Hellenic world, plunging players into the turbulent events of the iconic Peloponnesian Wars. The year is 432 BC and unrest grows throughout the Greek City-States. At a gathering of the Peloponnesian League, prosperous Athens has earned the enmity of Sparta, Korinthos and the Boeotian League, tipping the delicate political balance past the point of no return. While the other factions hold a loose alliance against Athenian arrogance, each state has its own agenda. The future of Greece itself is at stake, and the ensuing conflict will result in nothing less than supremacy of the Hellenic world. Meanwhile, the mighty Persian Empire is watching, waiting, and preparing its armed forces to turn this tide of Hellenic turmoil to its own advantage… Greek States Culture Pack. The Greek States Culture Pack introduces diplomatic Athens, shrewd Epirus and formidable Sparta as playable factions. Each offers a unique way to experience the campaign, with their own rosters of powerful military units, distinct traits and play styles. The Athenian pursuit of enlightenment grants them technological and cultural bonuses; Sparta's dominance over the Helots allows them to maintain a larger slave population; and Epirus enjoys bonuses to settlement exploitation stemming from their village-confederation origins. Each of the Greek States has a unique top-tier military tradition: Athenian fleets may be honoured as Children of the Aegean, improving the ramming ability of their ships whilst allowing them to secure more income when raiding; Spartan armies may be remembered as Peers of Leonidas, improving their melee defence capabilities and reducing their upkeep; the armies of Epirus may be feared as Hounds of Molossus, granting them greater charge bonuses whilst allowing them to keep public order problems in check. The Greek States share a number of common goals, philosophies and general diplomatic aims. However, they are defined by their fierce independence and between them demonstrate a huge variety in approach to civil and military challenges that often brings them into conflict with the wider world, and each other. Daughters of Mars Unit Pack. Whether in defence of their homelands or called upon to fulfil their part in glorious conquest, female combat units featured throughout the ancient world. Athena, Bellona, Andraste, Mars: No matter which war deity these soldiers pledged their lives to, they were offered a solemn promise of victory in the face of even the most formidable enemies. Adding a swift and deadly mix of fighting styles and abilities to the fray, generals will wisely place value on those who aspire to be the avatars of the war gods themselves! Gladiatrices Can be recruited by Rome, or as mercenaries in Italia. Honed to a razor-edge through countless drills and contests in the arena, Gladiators and Gladiatrices are ruthless and skilled brawlers. Their sledgehammer approach to melee brooks no compromise, and in the right circumstances, they can inflict heavy losses on traditional soldiery. Heavily armoured and disciplined, Gladiatrices are more formidable defenders than their arena-trained male counterparts, and every bit their equals in their lust for battle. Mercenary Kushite shieldwomen Can be recruited as mercenaries in Aethiopia. The fiercely independent Kushite Nubians are a geopolitical force to be reckoned with. Their mounted archers and skilled infantry have repelled Roman advances on multiple occasions, ably demonstrating their proficiency in large-scale battle. The zealous, spear-armed warriors of the Kushite Shieldwomen are swift, agile and deadly; able to strike swiftly from woodlands and trained to form up effectively in defence, Cavalry commanders would be wise to fear them. Lusitani Swordswomen Can be recruited by The Lusitani, or as mercenaries in Lusitania. Honed by generations of conflict and rightly feared for their lightning ambush tactics, The Lusitani have built a reputation as excellent guerrilla warriors. Trained to advance under the whittling fire provided by the Cantabrian Circle, their swift and hard-hitting Swordswomen are adept at exploiting woodlands to remain hidden while they move. When the charge comes, it is swift, sudden, frenzied and terrifying; though used carefully, Lusitani Swordswomen can also mount a formidable defence. Далее
