Both passenger and freight traffic traverse the line, although usually at no greater than an hourly frequency, but what the line doesn't have in traffic it makes up for with unrestricted countryside views. Today, the line is served by DB, and their modern DB BR 245 diesel locomotive is well equipped for mixed-traffic use, making it the perfect loco for this wire-free railway.
